The book is sadder and darker than the previous ones. It does clear up a lot of things on alignment of people with the sides and a few things which were not all that clear in the previous books ;-). Adding anything more here might be a spoiler. So, now that the sixth book is done, any ideas when the seventh is going to be around?

It does provide links to other sites carrying similar searches, remove ads in Google pages amongst other things. Does look pretty useful.
I was coding in vim today and had to figure out the number of occurrences of a pointer dereference in my C file. So while in vim, got into the ex mode and typed ! grep -c ptr-> myfile.c. The operation then did seem to take a bit longer than what was necessary. Only then I realised the gravity of my grep. Apart from not quoting the search patern and hence not providing any files for grep to look in, I also was redirecting the grep output to the same file I was editing ;-). From a different terminal, I did a ls -l and it promptly reported that size of myfile.c was 0 bytes.

By then I had terminated grep and vim was prompting me to reload contents of myfile.c since it had changed on disk. After a momentary panic, I wrote the contents of the buffer as myfile.c and hence could salvage all changes I had done since the last backup ;-).

I shudder to think of all the rework I had to do if I had launched grep from a different terminal :-)
